‘A WoMan’ is an intimate psychological portrait of a closeted transgender man living in a society that does not afford him the opportunity to transition. Confined to a small room, he navigates the painful friction between who he is and who he is forced to be. His internal struggle takes a physical, surreal form: the man he actually is manifests in his space as a separate being. Living alongside this inner persona, his daily routines become a quiet battleground for identity and survival. The film uses its minimalist, claustrophobic setting to explore the profound grief of dysphoria, the weight of societal erasure, and the fragile thresholds of a fractured self.
